Revelation 3: 15: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Now that you are ready to take that first step, towards restoration and spiritual healing, continue to Step 1.
Do you remember when you First Accepted Jesus Christ into your life? Now, think back to that moment. Try to remember that feeling of relief and peace.
You had one instant in your life when you were Clean and Pure. One instant when there was not a thing in the world you were in need of or afraid of. One instant when the Joy in your life was so overwhelming that you felt as if you would burst.
That was the instant you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and God had forgiven you for all of your sin. That was the only time Satan had been completely removed from your life.
Remember and Cherish that moment. That was the only pure taste of Heaven you will receive until God takes you to be with Him.
To recapture that feeling of peace and security follow the directions below.

If you truly asked for God to restore His Joy to you, then you will now be able to remember that moment of Salvation and Joy. You may even be experiencing it for the second time, as I did.

Psalms 51 The Prayer of Restoration.
1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. (KJV)

Now that you are a Child of the King, what do you do next? Naturally you will want to find a Bible preaching and teaching church. If you need help in finding such a church, send me an email and I will be happy to assist you in locating a church in your area. The flame within you is burning bright and you have a burning desire to tell others about Jesus, to worship Him and study His Word. Do not be silent. Share the Good News with all you meet.
Do not be disappointed if you do not see that same burning in the members of the church you found. You may be the catalyst needed to rekindle the fire in that church. Trust in the Holy Spirit.
If you observe any of the following situations, do not be discouraged. Take it to Jehovah in Prayer. You may be led to a different church to worship in, or you may be the answer to another Saint's Prayers for help, in that church.

It is not entirely their fault. As soon as you walked back into the world Satan started attacking you and dulling the feeling you had inside. This is not new and all are affected by it.
We must seek out the support and teaching of those who have kept the faith with God. You cannot place a value upon the wisdom gained by the Saints who have served God for the years of their life. Like you, they have also strayed. But, they followed David's example and came back to God asking forgiveness. That forgiveness is stronger and worth more than all Satan has to offer.
You must be as Paul was:
Ephesians 6:20 - For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (KJV)
If you don't find the burning desire to serve God and to study His Word in your church, then go to God in prayer for guidance. He may want you to inspire or lead them back to the correct path. Or, He may point you to another congregation which truly worships and follows God's Will.
Whichever it is, be bold and keep your faith solid and the desire to worship God burning bright. In the end, God is the only one who should matter for us. The material things and people we meet will all pass away. But, God Is Eternal.
