Revelation 3: 15: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Have you ever seen a shirt, pants, or other piece of clothing where one part of it looked wrinkled or twisted and the other part looked OK?
That’s because the tailor shop failed to follow the grain of the cloth when cutting it. Somehow, or to save on material, he cut one piece straight and the attaching piece was cut 90° from the grain of the first piece. After sewing it together, it might look something like this:

Wrong Armor
Then as the two sections wear and stretch, they start trying to pull the other section, one piece trying to control the other. That is where the wrinkle or twisted material comes from. The pieces move differently from each other. And, is proof of the poor craftsmanship of the tailor shop. Out to make a buck, as fast and as easy as they can.
While in devotion this morning, God brought this to me and I had to stop and write this.
When you received your Salvation God had taken your tattered rags and started repairing the damage you had done in your life. He was patiently lining up and putting the pieces back together again, just as any fine craftsman would do. Only perfection would satisfy God. As He was working on the repairs needed to make you into His Child, you, the material, was having to go through the pain and suffering of growing in Spirit while the ways of the world were removed and your material was being put back together so the grains of your life would match and grow together correctly.
However, since we are not just a piece of cloth, but are living creatures with a Free Will we would tire of waiting, or did not like the pain of being trimmed and re-sewn. So, we would try to do things on our own or try to speed up the process by supplying our own needs.
Some of us are just Lay People within a Church, who like to control things or just complain about everything. While others, a few anyway, who have found we could make a lot of money by telling others they would be supporting God’s work if they would just send us money to support us while we were doing what we claim is God’s work.
There are just too many examples, for me to even try to list here, of how we take the fabric back from God and try to sew it together ourselves, no matter how the grain in the fabric runs.
We like to blame organizations for all of the things going wrong in our churches today. We need to remember how those churches and organizations became that way. For, you see, they only responded to what the loudest people wanted, while the rest sat back, silent, not caring enough about Jehovah or The Blood Sacrifice to say “That is Not right!”
If you want to blame someone for the problems in our churches today, just look in a mirror and take a good look at what you have done, or failed to do, with God’s Armor. He wants to make us perfect, and we just want to have everything without having to work for it.
Are you Christian enough to stand on God’s Word or are you just putting yourself together any way you want? It is NOT too late for us. Please take time to pray and read Psalm 51. David tells you what you need to do to get right with God.
Christians, Stand Up! Quit sitting back and quit trying to sew your own lives back together. There is only One who can do this properly. That is Jehovah, through The Blood of the Sacrifice, Jesus Christ.
Accept the pain of having the worldly parts of your life trimmed and the clean edges being sewn back together with the grain the way it should be. Each trial makes us more perfect and each trial brings us closer to God.
1 Peter 1: 7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
