Our Pastor delivered a sermon, at our Men of Victory Conference, on the need for a return to purity by all Christians.   He began his sermon by providing a quote which described the life cycle of a nation.     The sequence is very troubling.

The sequence of nations, as observed by Alexander Tyler, 1750, follows a predictable pattern which can be proven just by following the constant rise and fall of Israel in the Scriptures.

One of the hardest hit areas during this portion of the cycle are our Churches.   For, as we became abundant we also became arrogant and allowed ourselves to start looking for pleasures and entertainment outside of our families and church environments.   We once had town gatherings and celebrations guided by the Spiritual Leaders of the community.   Now our gatherings and celebrations have become a show place for the corrupt and un-godly morals of the worldly religions we allowed to infiltrate and become a part of our society.   The once revered Christian Leaders are now blocked from having any say in the public forum because our “elected” leaders do not want to offend any of the un-godly members of the Community.   We have even started adding some of these activities into our places of worship.

Next, instead of correcting our children for misbehaving we penalize the ones who are attacked and slandered by our unruly children.   This fact hit home when I was watching a George Lopez sit-com.   His son had disobeyed and then verbally attacked his own grandmother.   The grandmother did what was natural.   She punished the boy for disobedience.   However, when the father came home and asked the boy what had happened the father got angry with the grandmother and threw the grandmother out of the house for daring to punish the boy.   Then the father told the boy no one had the right to punish him.   I have refused to watch George Lopez from that time on.   With these kind of examples, how can we wonder why we have a National Plague of crime and disrespect?

How many Christians know that we have elected officials, local, state, and federal who have been sworn into office with the Koran or no Bible at all?

How many Christians know that the same judges who are making our lives miserable and throwing us into jail for witnessing to people on the public streets were elected to their office?   Where was your vote?

How many Christians realize that they have been lied to by their leaders?   We are not the leading Christian Nation anymore.   We have not been for many-many years.   If anything, America has become the leading Agnostic Nation.   Christians only make up about 23% of our nations population.   The 84% lie was engineered by Satan.   That percentage is based on a poll of only 1,000 people performed by college students.

How many Christians really care?   Not very many.   I can say that with conviction.   As my Township’s Election Judge, I get to see everyone who walks through the door to cast a vote during elections.   Out of the over 500 Church Members I am familiar with I never see more than 15 turn out, and that was for the 2004 Presidential Election.   Normally, I would see only 3 to 9 come out to vote.

If Christians really cared about this Nation and what it is quickly becoming, we would flood the election polls with our votes.   We would make it a point to know who our elected leaders are and what they are doing.   We would voice our desires as loudly as we can to get their attention and to force them to vote according to The Holy Scriptures; NOT our wallets.

It would only take 10% of our Christian population to be involved through voting and filling the elected offices of this nation to get America back on track for Jehovah.   This will not happen as long as Christians do not seek the purity and guidance of Jehovah.

We must have purity of thought and actions before we can stop blaming others for our shortcomings and our children’s failure to learn self-respect.

We must have purity of thought before we can once again lift high the Christian Standards this Nation was founded upon.

Whom are you supporting for the next election?   Do you even know what offices or the names of those running for those offices?   What day is your election scheduled to happen?

May you examine your hearts and your purity. Without the outspoken Christian, Christ’s Words will never be heard or heeded.
